Quidam Junior [5MB]

Quidam Junior, a Dutch stallion by birth, but a French stallion by blood, brings US breeders the Top in European quality that can rarely be purchased today. Prior to exportation "Junior" convincingly won several GP in the UK. Imported and ridden by Shane Sweetnam in 2007, Quidam Junior, after only 7 GP outings in the US has proven his superior ability against top competition, winning at the KY National, placing 4th at KY Summer GP, and by competing in World Cup qualifiers. A stallion said to "give 100% in the ring every outing," Junior has shown his rideablity by winning at Traverse City in the Junior Jumper Classic with Julia Lourie in 2007.

BLOODLINES
Quidam de Revel with Herve Godignon
Quidam Junior's sire, Quidam de Revel (1982), boasts a jumping index of 186 which secures him as the #1 Stallion World Wide according to the World Breeding Championship Jumping Stallion ratings, the WBFSH, and the French publication the Monneron  which have all established him as THE pre-eminent living sire of jumping horses (and therefore the most expensive stallion to breed to). Quidam de Revel was the stallion with the highest number of progeny (10) at the Jerez 2002 WEG. Quidam de Revel with Herve Godignon
Quidam de Revel was a jumping star in his own right and enjoyed one of the longest and most important sport careers of any stallion. Though only 10 years old in 1992 he was a member of several French nations cup teams and the French Olympic team in Barcelona winning team bronze and 4th place individually. He also won the GP of Barcelona and the GP of New York in 1992. In 1993 the stallion was purchased for an undisclosed sum, believed to be a record high at the time. In 1996 under the then inexperienced rider Tomas Velin, Quidam de Revel proved his ridability by placing second in the GP of Copenhagen and 4th in the young riders European championships. He continued to win GP until his late teens. To see an indepth show record for Quidam de Revel click above link.

Narcotique dam of Quidam Junior with P. Durand
Fairplay III - Sire of NarcotiqueAccording to the WBFSH (World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses) the mare line from which Quidam Junior stems is the Top Mare in the World. Dam Narcotique (Fairplay III X Bouree) is sister to Narcos II (sire of Twist du Vallon, 1998 AGA Horse Of The Year under Mclain Ward). Narcotique, ridden in international GP (CSIO) under Olympic Gold medalist Pierre Durand, was not only a French Nation's Team member, but won the CSIO in St Gall (SUI) in 1989 and the jumping derby at Bois-le-Roi in 1992. The
amazing Narcotique also had seven offpring (via ET)
all of whom found their way to GP ring! Four
of Narcotique's foals are approved stallions:
Gentleman IV (by Laudenum XX) ridden by Rodrigo
Pessoa, the full brothers Grand Gentleman IV (out of Narcotique) with Rodrigo PessoaRivage and
Haut Rivage (by the Uriel son Rival du Poncel), full sister Infinie Rivage, Gare a Elle (Bayard d'Elle), and Joile Narcotique and her full brother Quidam Junior (Quidam de Revel). The root of the mare line comes from  Quidam Junior's seond dam, Bouree, who herself was a international GP jumper and who had (an amazing) eleven GP jumpers (via ET), one of which is the dam of the approved stallion Hors La Loi II (Papillon Rouge X Ariane du Plesis out of Bouree) ridden by Rodrigo Pessoa.

Quidam Junior At KY National
Quidam Junior's modern size allows him to be extremely careful while his "lion's heart" gives him the bravery to attack big tracks. A near carbon copy of his sire, he is one of only few approved breeding stallions by the "Chef de Race" Quidam de Revel available in the US today. However, Quidam Junior is the only approved stallion currently available anywhere out of the top mareline in the world and by the top progenitor of show jumpers the world over.
