SERVICES offered at JSF
At JSF we live by the saying "if you want something done right, do it yourself."
*Mare care being bred to JSF stallions and/or others
This service revolves around daily teasing and closely working with the reproduction veterinarian. Our meticulous attention to detail coupled with our vast knowledge of equine reproduction allows for the best possible conditions for successful cycles. We provide on farm service such as: A.I., uterine lavage / infusion, culture / cytology and are skilled in handling, dethawing, inseminating frozen semen. Your mare will be treated as our own.

*Foal watch / Foaling mares out
In 16' x 18' foaling stalls, we provide video surveillance during the night and will regularly test the pre-foaling mammary secretions for calcium level and monitor all possible pre-foaling signs thoroughly. We assist the mare during delivery and help the new born until it is standing and nursing on its own prior to veterinary check.

*Foal / Youngster raising
We closely monitor and give youngsters the best possible care so they are easy to manage and train at a later date. Young horses at JSF are handled daily (fly masked, fly sprayed, or blanketed according to weather), turned out in green pastures and brought in when necessary. The large fields used for the young horses have gentle slopes that encourage the correct development of the musculature, strong bones and tendons. A customized feeding program is also provided, including the correct balance of minerals and protein to optimize the youngster's growth potential.

*Preparation of young stallions for stallion inspection/approval
While this service is abundant in EU, it practically does not exist in the U.S. Stallion presentation is an important milestone for every breeder/owner (of young stallions) so we thought it would be wise to offer this service for those wishing to present their stallion for approval at the various warmblood inspections. Meticulous preparation is Vital for a sucessful outcome, regardless of the prospect's quality. This service is designed especially for each individual stallion, depending on his strengths and/or weaknesses (be they physical or mental). The stallion must learn to work with his human so that he stays 'with' his handler and learns to react to subtle cues so he can therefore show the best gaits, conformation and presence he has. The jump chute can cause issues to arrise if it is not taught slowly and methodically in a way that enhances the stallion's confidence and jumping technique / ability. The stallion's physical conditioning, manipulated through a slow but sytematic exercise program and a specialized feed and supplementation plan also plays a fundamental role in the overall picture the stallion presents.

Specialized Stallion Services include:
*phantom training for young stallions
*standing (managing) stallions for partial or entire breeding season
*semen freezing
*"drive thru" semen collection, packaging, evaluation for shipping
*starting stallions / undersaddle training by accredited european trainer specializing in stallions
